These more advanced cars require more sophisticated fueling stations than conventional gas stations can provide. However, there is a significant gap between where infrastructure is now and what is needed to support widespread AFV use.

This means you’ll spend less money at the pump while still being able to go farther on one tank of gas–or whatever else you’re using as fuel!
  • Cleanliness – Compared with conventional internal combustion engines (ICEs), AFV ICEs produce fewer greenhouse gases such as CO2 when operating at full power; however, their real advantage lies in what happens when these ICEs aren’t operating at full power: namely when idling or decelerating without applying brakes.”
